Kevin & Mel will be Launching their new Album “ONE” in Cairns (see flyer below).

Kevin and Mel create a free and open space for people of all levels of singing to express their devotion and heart song. Their music is a world fusion of chanting.

Weaving ancient Mantra’s from various traditions with his own mantras in English, Kevin James’ anthemic songs are an effective platform to dissolve the ego, reconnect to the heart and co-create a positive vibration for the world.

Kevin draws upon influences from traditional Indian Kirtan, Bhajans, Celtic and Sufi chants mixed with western folk sounds and world instruments.
Kevin has been leading singing circles in and around Byron Bay NSW Australia for the last 7 years and his regular events are well known as an integral part of the vibrant alternative culture that so many people travel there to experience.

He and his partner Mel, now travel the world sharing the experience of these heart opening circles…

If you are interested in doing an afternoon chanting workshop in an amazing retreat space in the Kuranda rain forest overlooking Cairns email; kevin@kevinjamesheartsongs.com or Phone 0407122781 Bookings essential.

The chanting workshop will be open for beginners who would like to learn to lead chanting circles of their own, with friends or social groups, and or people who would like to learn more about the deeper practice of chanting and it’s benefits as part of a healthy balanced life.
You are also welcome if you just want to be part of a fun afternoon and come and sing.

Participants are encouraged to bring your instruments so you can have an experience of leading a group and there will be time to learn new songs (free songbook included) and get tips on playing Harmonium and guitar. Also tips on singing and vocal exercises
for improving your voice and opening blockages in your expression.

There will also be free Chai and nibbles. Cost $45 Please book in advance for this workshop.

We will be holding weekly Chanting Heart Song evenings every
Thursday from 7 till 9:30pm at the Meditation Hall, Gondwana,
Prestons Lane Tyagra. Until we go to Cairns QLD on the 8th of August.

A journey through the sacred, using chanting and sound healing with the heart opening movement of Kundalini Yoga and the inspiration of a tour through the temples of the sacred island of Okinawa. The people from Okinawa, which is the southern most part of Japan, have the greatest number of people over 100 years of age (centurians) in the world. All have a very good state of health.
